About the Role:
Working as part of Soil Connect’s Sales & Business Development Team, this Sales role will be crucial to driving growth into all strategic markets across a National footprint. The Director of Sales plays a critical role in applying organizational sales strategies to ensure successful achievement of company goals.
As a leading new business “hunter”, this role will suit a hungry, creative individual who will help to drive our growth through their ideas, energy, enthusiasm and ethical selling practices.
You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying and closing new business by building strategic relationships with executives and key decision makers across the construction industry by promoting and selling our industry leading products.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer to plan and execute the overall business development strategy across target markets
Prospect for new clients & opportunity development. You will have access to a six-figure database of contacts and have SDR support for lead gen and qualification
Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from opportunity identification, through to the negotiation and close of contracts
Hire, train, coach, develop, and lead junior sales team members
Sell SaaS products while simultaneously growing overall marketplace adoption
Requirements
What we need from you:
Direct Selling Experience (preferably with SaaS products)
A proven track record of sales leadership success in a rapidly growing industry
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives and senior executives
A proven track record of achieving personal sales targets
Ability and experience working cross-functionally with User Engagement & Support teams
Experience using a CRM (preferably SalesForce.com)
Desire to work in a Startup environment, and the willingness to not have a “9 to 5 job”
An Owner mindset
Strong company culture fit, expresses positivity and constant communication
Ability and desire to work remotely
Nice to haves (not required):
Challenger and/or Sandler Sales training experience
Construction industry knowledge/expertise
Startup experience
English and Spanish speaking
Based out of Midwest or Southeast
