DASI Simulations is a biomedical Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology start-up located in Dublin, Ohio. The company has developed breakthrough AI predictive technology to personalize treatment for patients with structural heart disease; this allows physicians to maximize the life expectancy of their patients and eliminate sub-optimal care. The company was founded just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and was built with support from Ohio Third Frontier and Rev1 Ventures. Today, DASI Simulations is paving the future of structural heart procedures by providing heart teams with patient specific AI-generated guidance, allowing them to make data-driven clinical decisions for the maximum benefit of their patients.
Dr. Lakshmi Prasad Dasi was a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University when he met Teri Sirset in 2018. They quickly realized their combined knowledge and complementary skillsets would make them a great team. Together they founded the company in 2019. The team began using office space at Rev1 Ventures, an investor startup
studio, where they were able to accelerate the growth of their business. They quickly outgrew this space and relocated their company to a newer and larger location within Dublin, Ohio.
The company “envisions a future where foresight into surgical procedures using AI will enable physicians to alter the course of heart disease by providing unprecedented insights on the full heart health from any cardiac CT scan committed to lifelong planning and complication reduction for patients with heart disease” said Teri Sirset, whose father passed away, at the age
of 67, after two failed heart surgeries. This mission is deeply personal. Sean McKibben, Chief Operating Officer at DASI Simulations said, “We see the impact we make on patients every day. We really want to make a difference.” This mission, coupled with DASI’s breakthrough innovation, has the potential to revolutionize the field of heart care.
