On this episode, Elio interviews Noah Weisblat, Chief Operating Officer at Klout Machine. A single rule change allowed college athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness (NIL), thereby creating a new industry. Klout Machine has created a marketplace that uses a common currency to value NIL. This currency is called the Klout Score and it ranges from 0-100. This score explains how performance on & off the field relates to the strength of an athlete’s brand – which then translates to a dollar value based on the engagement brands can expect when partnering with an athlete. Klout Machine is helping college athletes profit off their name, image, and likeness while giving brands a new marketing channel into hyper-local college sports markets. Enjoy!
